's all good

The talk with my boss went all right. She is terribly sad that I'm leaving, but the month's notice gives us all time to get our i's dotted and t's crossed. I'll be working to catch up all my cohorts on the circ desk over the next few weeks.

We did modify my plan just a little. I'll still be on the books with TRL as a Sub level 4. That means I can come in and sub on the reference desk at the highest level, utilizing my master's degree. I need to check with the caregiver and find out how much notice she needs for lead time when I need her. That way, I can say I can take sub dates if I have a week's notice or longer. None of the last-minute sub calls. Sounds good to me.

The boss is checking into what paperwork I need to fill out for this drastic change in employment status, and whether I need to use up my last bit of personal holiday or if they'll just cash me out like with my vacation time. That's going to be a nice, fat check.

The caregiver did just fine yesterday, despite the fact that I forgot to refill mom's pill frisbee. Oops. My bad. She was bored, so she ended up vacuuming the living room as well as mom's room, sweeping the kitchen, and putting away the clean dishes. She even dried and folded the laundry I had going since mom didn't have any to do. Next time she needs to bring a book or knitting or something. *grin* She's awesome about leaving plenty of notes for me about how mom's day went. This seems like a good arrangement, especially since she also collects dolls.

Mom crashed out hard to sleep last night and didn't wake up at all. Needless to say, I had quite a bit of laundry to do for her this morning, but she's very alert from the good's night sleep. Me too!

Time to get the bills paid now that everyone's gotten their paychecks. Last big mortgage payment before we re-fi! Yippie!
